Bryn Loftness
CEO and Co-Founder, Biobe
Bryn Loftness is the CEO and Co-Founder of Biobe. Currently she is PhD candidate in the Complex Systems and Data Science program at University of Vermont and a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow. She works in the Neurobotics Lab and M-Sense Research Group at the UVM Complex Systems Center developing machine learning and digital phenotyping algorithms. The data she works with are primarily biological and behavioral signals derived from on-body and off-body sensors, health, and/or contextual records. She also works remotely with the Sabeti Lab through the Broad Institute, specializing in behavioral phenotyping and digital epidemiology projects. In this role, she collaborates significantly with the MAPPS (Mobility Analysis for Pandemic Prediction Strategies) Center at Brown University.
Allison Kaigle Holm
Director of Data Governance, UVM Health
Allison Kaigle Holm is the Director of Data Governance Administration at the University of Vermont Health Network, where she dedicates her professional life to creating and democratizing data to improve lives. A leader in healthcare, she is passionate about using data and insights to craft innovative strategies that advance organizational missions. Allison is a collaborative data governance leader, committed to managing data as a strategic asset, and excels in innovative environments. She has successfully led teams across various organizations, consistently delivering value as a leader. Combining her expertise in research, ethics, data privacy, and technology, Allison fosters a culture of effective, ethical, and sustainable data stewardship. She holds a PhD from the University of Gothenburg and a Master’s in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Vermont, with a focus on research and implementation science.
Eryney Marrogi
Medical Student, UVM
Eryney Marrogi is a 2nd-year medical student at UVM Medical School, currently engaged in cutting-edge AI research on protein design at Caltech. Before medical school, he amassed significant experience in the startup world, where he applied machine learning to gene therapy. At Harvard, he developed AI systems for computer vision to track parasite development in blood smears. His notable contributions include CRISPR-Cas9 editing of mosquitoes in George Church's lab at Harvard Medical School and AAV engineering at Dyno Therapeutics.
